Conflict Management Certificate

Our Conflict Management Skills Certificate is geared towards leaders and managers who want to effectively lead their organizations through change and conflict.  Conflict Management Skills courses equip you with tools that can enhance your leadership ability and prepare you to prevent or successfully manage conflict.

To earn a certificate in Conflict Management Skills, you must complete the following Core Courses:

Introduction to Conflict Resolution: Dealing with Difficult People- 2 Days

Culture and Conflict – 2 Days

Coaching for Resolution – 2 Days

Dealing with Anger – 2 Days

As well as having a Core Course requirement, 10 of your 22 days of training must be from the following Conflict Management Skills courses, with Mediation Skills for Leaders being a required course:

Managing Collaborative Projects – 2 Days

Building Respectful Workplaces – 1 day

Communication at Work – 1 day

Conflict in Collaborations and Partnerships – 2 days

Dealing with Bullies – 1 day

Dealing with Change: Managing Ourselves – 1 day

Leading Others Through Organizational Change – 1 day

Effective Feedback – 2 days

Effective Leadership in Conflict – 2 days

Emotional Intelligence – 1 day

Generations at Work – 1 day

Leading Meetings – 1 day

Managing Unresolvable Problems – 1 day

Mediation Skills for Leaders – 2 days (*required course for Conflict Management Certificate)

You will also need 4 days of Elective Skills Courses to fulfil the 22 day requirement:

Dealing with Power – 1 Day

Transforming the Argument – 1 Day

Assertive Communication – 1 Day

High Stakes Conversations – 2 Days

Building Personal Resilience – 1 Day

 *Mediation Skills Courses may also be used to fulfill the elective skills requirement.

Mediation Skills Certificate

Our Mediation Skills Certificate is geared towards individuals seeking to gain models and skills to function as an external mediator / conflict management consultant (e.g. someone who is not known by the involved parties).  All mediation skills courses include hands-on practice followed by debriefing sessions with experienced practitioners.

To earn a certificate in Mediation Skills, you must complete the following Core Courses:

Introduction to Conflict Resolution: Dealing with Difficult People- 2 Days

Culture and Conflict – 2 Days

Coaching for Resolution – 2 Days

Dealing with Anger – 2 Days

To complete your Mediation Skills Certificate, 10 of your 22 days of training must be from the following Mediation Skills courses:  

Introduction to Mediation: Building a Foundation for Practice- 2 Days

Mediation Skills 1 – 3 Days

Mediation Skills 2 – 3 Days

Mediation Practice – 2 Days

You will also need to complete 4 days of Elective Skills Courses to fulfill the 22 days of training requirement :

Dealing with Power – 1 Day

Transforming the Argument – 1 Day

Assertive Communication – 1 Day

High Stakes Conversations – 2 Days

Building Personal Resilience – 1 Day

Leadership Development Certificate

Our Leadership Development Certificate is geared for people working in a leadership capacity or those who are looking to expand their knowledge about themselves, as leaders, and how they can improve their skills and those of the people working for them. The leadership development certificate program is a combination of our conflict resolution skills with the addition of some specific leadership models. All courses include hands-on practice followed by debriefing session with experience facilitators.

To earn a certificate in Leadership Development, you must complete the following Core Courses:

Introduction to Conflict Resolution: Dealing with Difficult People- 2 Days

Culture and Conflict – 2 Days

Coaching for Resolution – 2 Days

Dealing with Anger – 2 Days

 To complete your Leadership Development Certificate, 10 of your 22 days of training must be from any of the following leadership courses:  

Foundations in Leadership Development Level 1 – 1 Day (required)

Foundations in Leadership Development Level 2 – 1 Day (required)

Mediation Skills for Leaders – 2 Days (required)

Coaching for Performance – 1 Day

Building Trusting Organizations – 1 Day

Assertive Communications – 1 Day

Dealing with Power – 1 Day

Effective Feedback – 2 Days

Communication at Work – 1 Day

Managing Unresolvable Problems – 1 Day 

Strengths Based Approaches in the Workplace – 1 day

You will also need to complete 4 days of Elective Skills Courses to fulfill the 22 days of training requirement:

Building Consensus – 1 Day
